Client Feedback
"The coaching sessions gave me a way to step back from the day-to-day and actually examine what I was doing with my time and energy as a founder. Our advisor asked questions I hadn't thought to ask myself. Worth the three months by a considerable margin."
Nguyen Thanh
Founder, logistics company · Da Nang · January 2026
"We brought Van Son in to look at how our order management process handed off to fulfillment. The mapping exercise was uncomfortable at first — there were more gaps than we realized. But the redesign was practical, and the simulation testing before rollout caught two issues that would have caused real problems."
Tran Minh
Operations Manager, retail group · Hoi An · December 2025
"I've had the strategic retainer for fourteen months now. The quarterly reviews are genuinely useful — they force me to assess where we are against where we said we'd be, which is hard to do alone. The monthly calls are shorter but often equally valuable for thinking through something quickly."
Le Huong
Managing Director, services firm · Da Nang · January 2026
"What I appreciated most was that the advisor didn't come in with a fixed idea of what we needed. They listened for a long time before suggesting anything. That approach led to recommendations that actually fit our situation rather than a template applied to us."
Pham Van Duc
CEO, technology startup · Da Nang · December 2025
"The workflow redesign covered three departments and involved more people than expected. Van Son managed that well — they were patient in the mapping sessions and didn't oversimplify what they found. The training guide they produced was thorough and our team actually used it."
Hoang Nga
COO, manufacturing SME · Quang Nam · January 2026
"I work in English and was concerned that nuance would get lost. It didn't. Sessions were fluid and the advisor clearly understood the context I was describing without needing repeated explanation. That made the conversations much more efficient."
James Lin
International founder, e-commerce · Da Nang · December 2025

FOUNDER COACHING · DA NANG · 2025
Challenge
A founder leading a 30-person services company was struggling to step out of day-to-day delivery work and focus on business direction. Most of his working hours were spent resolving operational issues rather than thinking about growth or team development.
Approach
Six coaching sessions over three months. First two sessions focused on time mapping and identifying which decisions only he could make. Remaining sessions worked through delegation structure and communication patterns with his team leads.
Outcome
By the end of the engagement, the founder had restructured his weekly schedule with two mornings reserved for strategic work. Reported that operational escalations reaching him had reduced significantly. He subsequently renewed for a strategic retainer.
"The sessions gave me language to talk about what I was doing and what I wanted to be doing. That alone was worth it."
WORKFLOW REDESIGN · QUANG NAM · 2025
Challenge
A manufacturing business with 80 employees was experiencing repeated delays at the handoff between production and quality control. Orders were being held for days without clarity on who was responsible for what. Customer complaints had increased over two quarters.
Approach
Three-week engagement. Current-state mapping sessions with both departments revealed five separate handoff points, each with unclear ownership. Redesigned workflow consolidated to two handoffs with explicit sign-off requirements and turnaround SLAs.
Outcome
Order hold time at quality control reduced from an average of four days to under one day within six weeks of implementation. Staff reported the new workflow felt clearer to follow. One error caught in simulation testing before rollout had prevented a batch recall.
STRATEGIC RETAINER · DA NANG · 2024–2025
Challenge
A mid-sized hospitality business wanted external perspective on their three-year growth plan. Internal leadership discussions tended to reach agreement quickly, but the managing director felt decisions weren't being examined critically enough before being committed to.
Approach
Twelve-month retainer. Quarterly reviews structured around progress against growth milestones, with market context provided by our team. Monthly calls used to surface emerging concerns. We deliberately played a questioning role rather than an affirming one.
Outcome
One planned expansion project was paused after Q2 review analysis flagged market timing concerns. Resources redirected to operational improvements. The managing director noted the value of having someone whose role was explicitly to challenge assumptions rather than support them.
