Van Son began in 2017 as a small advisory practice focused on a single question: what would it look like for business consulting to be genuinely useful, rather than impressively packaged? The founding team had spent years inside organizations of different sizes — manufacturing, retail, technology — and kept noticing the same pattern. External consultants would arrive with polished frameworks, spend limited time understanding the actual context, and leave behind recommendations that didn't stick.
We wanted to work differently. Smaller engagements. Deeper listening. Fewer clients at a time. That approach suited Da Nang's growing business community — founders building their first real management teams, family businesses professionalizing their operations, regional offices of larger organizations trying to work more effectively across functions.
Today Van Son operates with a small, experienced team and a deliberately limited client roster. We think that's what makes the work meaningful — and what keeps the quality of our advisory at a level we're comfortable standing behind.

Independent Perspective
We have no financial relationships with software vendors, service providers, or referral networks. Our recommendations are based only on what we observe and think is right for the client.

Operating from Hai Chau District in Da Nang, we serve clients across Vietnam and work with internationally-based founders building or managing operations in the country. Our engagements are conducted in English or Vietnamese, depending on what allows the clearest thinking.
